Holy Week & Easter:
On Maundy Thursday we have an evening service that has now become an informal potluck and Table Eucharist with music from Taize’ at 6 p.m., at the Rectory (the Carter’s house next door to the church… all welcome). This service is followed by the traditional “Stripping of the Altar” at 7 p.m. inside the church.
On Good Friday we have often set up a full-sized Chartres Labyrinth for personal devotions (Walking the Labyrinth is an ancient practice of reflection as it symbolizes our pilgrimage with God); The Good Friday Liturgy is at 6 p.m. in the church
Holy Saturday begins with our Church School Eggstravaganza fun event with a telling of the Passion Story at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall; The Rectory School Easter Service is usually around 4:00 p.m. in the church
Easter morning we have both an 8 a.m. Eucharist with celebratory hymns and a 10:15 Festival Eucharist with the Choir (Nursery-1st Grade Childcare available). Generally no Church School or Teen programs as all are invited into the church!
